October of 2005 was when this all started – Fabulous Occasions, which was officially named by Jeremy, was not new at all – I had been doing cards and stationery and we had so many ideas of where it could go, but the photography officially started that October of ’05. We had 3 babies and life was busy, but so fun and fabulous and my love for taking pictures took on a life of its’ own.

Fast forward 20 years. Now, we have 5 “babies” who are certainly not babies any more, and life is a little less busy in some ways, and way busier in others. Fabulous Occasions still has a life of its’ own and has offered me the joy over all of the years to capture more moments than I ever dreamt possible.

I recently had a young woman come up to me at one of the preschools that I am blessed to photograph and she said “You won’t remember me, but you took my family pictures 20 years ago, and now you are doing pictures of my baby!” Y’all know how cool that is?!

Every year I am thrilled to get the call for Senior pictures of the young adults who I had the honor of photographing when they were little, some even NEWBORNS! For a sentimental person like myself this is truly such an honor and I don’t take the trust that is given to me lightly. To get to document your family’s story is just such a gift!

You have invited me into your homes, trusted me with moments that would never be repeated, celebrated with me the birth of my own babies, indulged some of my crazy creative ideas, stuck with me when they didn’t always work, and celebrated with me when they did. You have become part of my story by allowing me to be a part of yours.

If I have ever gotten the chance to photograph your family, thank you. I can truly say that YOU are what make this “job” that I have so incredibly FABULOUS! If we haven’t gotten to work together but you have followed along on my journey, thank you! Thank you for being here, for being interested in my little corner of this big, BIG world wide web!
